To participate in the Westminster Public Library 2009 Adult Summer Reading Program GET INSPIRED ... READ, simply complete one or more of the activities below. Each time you complete an activity, fill out and submit an entry form. Complete only the activities you like, as often as you like. The more you enter the better your chances of taking home a fabulous prize bag at the end of the summer.

  • Registration - select this option just once, the first time you visit this site. Register here.

  • Read or listen to a book - if you select this activity, please share the title and author and some brief comments about the book. Each time you read or listen to a book, submit an entry. Search the library catalog.

  • Subscribe to a Dear Reader Newsletter- each month you'll receive an email about new and interesting titles in your category of choice. 21 different newsletters for our discriminating readers! For each Newsletter you subscribe to, submit an entry

  • Subscribe to an Online Book Club- Every day, Monday through Friday, you will receive in your email a five-minute selection from a chapter of a book. By the end of the week, you’ll have read 2-3 chapters. Every Monday we start a new book. Nine book clubs to choose from! For each Book Club you subscribe to, submit an entry.

  • Download audiobooks, videos or music- Westminster library cardholders can choose from a large and growing collection of downloadable materials. if you select this activity, please share the title, author and some brief comments about your downloadable experience. For each item you download, submit an entry

  • Terry FrieAttend a special summer author talk- Join Terry Frei, a Colorado writer of eclectic interests, background, and expertise, as he discusses his book '77: Denver, the Broncos and a Coming of Age. In addition to his extensive Bronco knowledge, Frei specializes in covering the National Hockey League as a journalist for the Denver Post and ESPN.com. His other books include Horns, Hogs, and Nixon Coming: Texas vs. Arkansas in Dixie's Last Stand and Third Down and a War to Go: The All-American 1942 Wisconsin Badgers. Terry Frei also has a novel coming out this summer called The Witch's Season and is collaborating with Patrick Ireland on a book about the Columbine shooting.
